Carbon Mixer for Schools is a One North East funded project to help teachers and students understand renewable energy. The Carbon Mixer for Schools software has been developed with teachers in the North East of England, and designed to fit with Key stage 4 of the National Curriculum.
The Carbon Mixer for Schools was developed by Narec Distributed Energy, BG&A and CfDR for schools in the North East of England. The software demonstrates, through a range of simulated workplace challenges, the financial and carbon effects of running buildings with low carbon and renewable energy system.
The Carbon Mixer for Schools is designed to provide students with a hands-on way of understanding renewable energy and its relevance in their everyday lives, as well as aiding learning in science, mathematics, design technology and geography.
